25 th SVU Congress and Participation of ILOLSeveral prominent researchers and invited associates of the Institute for Lifestyle Options and Longevity (ILOL), located in Prague, had an opportunity to participate at the 25th World Congress of the Czechoslovak Society of Arts and Sciences that was held in Tábor, Czech Republic, from June 27 to July 3, 2010. Over 300 internationally known scientists, researchers, artists, and educators from twenty countries attended the congress. The Czechoslovak Society of Arts and Sciences was established in 1958 in Washington, D.C. and holds its international congress alternatively in the Czech Republic and Slovakia every two years. ILOL was represented by a comprehensive panel focused on Technology Transfer and Innovation in Healthcare introduced and moderated by MUDr. Lubomir Exner, MBA and later by Doc. Ing. Marie Přibová, CSc. The panel was in two parts. The first part examined issues concerned with technology transfer in medicine along with recent innovative approaches. The second part focused on managerial and societal issues in healthcare. Both parts were well attended. The participants on the panel included:
